I keep getting the pop-up below

Despite running Grisoft AVG, and no virus being detected, any ideas how to
get rid of the little beastie.

Turn off System Restore, run AVG again, restart System Restore.

How can you turn off System Restore from a remote computer? Just change a
registry key? if so, you know the key?
